Mad Wife Productions screenwriting fellowship program is for aspiring writers who want to get their big break in the film industry!

The aim of this fellowship program is to offer one or more writers the opportunity to work in the industry and learn the ins and outs of taking a story from script to screen.

Unproduced and undiscovered screenwriters have an uphill battle to climb. Mad Wife Productions Fellowship Program is making this climb easier — work with producers and a mentor to take you to the next level as a writer!

Mad Wife Productions has gotten over 16 undiscovered writers produced and 8 writers optioned or hired on assignment in the last 2 years, including our previous contest winners.

The submitted script does not need to be the script you want to produce or use for your 12-month mentorship.

-Winning writer needs to own all rights to the script.

-Winning writer grants the producers and directors of Mad Wife Productions full creative control of the work-for-hire film.

-Except where prohibited by law, submission of written materials constitutes each entrant’s consent to Mad Wife Productions and its agents’ and sponsor’s use of entrants’ names, likenesses, photographs, and/or personal information for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration. This includes audio-visual information pertaining to the in-house development, analysis, and coverage in relation to writer’s submitted works. All uses of any entrants’ information will at all times be in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

-All fees submitted are non-refundable.

-BY SUBMITTING YOUR MATERIALS YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THESE CONDITIONS. You agree to release and hold harmless Mad Wife Productions, its subsidiary, parent and affiliated companies, prize contributors, judges, screenplay analysts, sponsors, and any other organizations responsible for administering, advertising or promoting your submission of material, and every one of their respective members, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) past and present from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to damages and negligence to property and persons, including but not limited to invasion of privacy, defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, copyright, infringement of trademark or other intellectual property rights relating to a participant’s submission of materials and/or acceptance or use or misuse of prize; provided however, that such release will not apply to any commercial exploitation of the script by a Released Party in violation of your rights under applicable copyright law; and (c) indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Mad wife Productions and its sponsor, agents and employees from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities (including reasonable attorneys fees) relating to an entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or entrant’s use or misuse of Prize.

-By submitting, you acknowledge that because of Mad Wife Productions position in the entertainment industry Mad Wife Productions receives numerous submissions of ideas, formats, stories, suggestions and the like and that many such submissions heretofore or hereafter received by Mad Wife Productions are similar to or identical to those developed by you. You understand that you will not be entitled to any compensation because of the use of any such similar material by Mad Wife Productions.

-You agree to indemnify and hold Mad Wife Productions harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses, losses, causes of action, judgments or liabilities (including, without limitation, reasonable outside attorneys’ fees) that may be asserted against you or incurred by you at any time in connection with the screenplay, or any use thereof, including without limitation those arising from any alleged breach of the warranties and promises given herein.

-You understand that all the judges decisions are final and cannot be appealed against.

-We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time, including extending the contest period if needed.
